RaabeArt
RaabeArt is a multi-disciplinar
nomad lab. We design multi-sensorial experiences
developing prototypes, diagrams, reports, articles, conceptual
ideas documentations, videos, performances and installations.
RaabeArt examines and works simultaneously
with visual arts, architecture, theatre, conceptual art,
land art, graphic arts, typography, photography, sociology,
literature, cheap art, painting and weaving using
all the available tools, all the skills and all the
possibilities employing a wide range of techniques.
RaabeArt works for the free development
of individual creativity, we search for autonomous research
tools, we deconstruct, we spread architecture, we are opened
to every possible contamination, we break disciplinar ties
and go beyond the static conventional rules.
RaabeArt developes a nomadic research,
learning directly from action and
experience without tracing the boundaries of Knowledge
definitively. We pay maximum attention to process transparency
because we believe in cultural generosity.
Methodology
Design process at RaabeArt is grounded
in a collaborative methodology
that involves the scientific fields of creative production,
exploring the spatial possibilities of fluxes and transformation.
RaabeArt maps to learn, works by subtraction
to return to the generative focal points, interacts with
the context and bases the design process on user observations.
RaabeArt replaces the conventional abstraction
of the Program with the contingent
concreteness of the Function. We reject models of homologation
choosing the contamination of languages and codes. We use
“dissatisfaction”
as a methodology and its extraordinarily broadening effect
on the imaginative faculties, undermining all dogmatic certainties.
All the projects never come to a conclusion because each
of them can be synthesized or implemented further on.
Craft. Collaboration. Left-brain, Right-brain.
Passion. Curiosity. We think there’s no substantial
difference between artist and artisan but there’s
only one community of creators. We work manually with cheap
and raw materials using new technologies to support observation,
analysis and communication.
RaabeArt leads experimental experiences
on:
- collaborative art and participative
design
- interaction design
- kid-centric design
- bottom up processes
- theory of emergence
